Accessibility statement

One More Way is a program of The Sierra Group Foundation, an organization whose work is to increase employment for people with disabilities. Our own site should meet the standard we ask of others.

The technical standard referenced on this page is summarized in the W3C WCAG overview.

This page states the accessibility standard used for the site, known limitations, and the checks expected during future maintenance.

The standard we work to

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.

Specifically, this site is built to:

  • Work at any screen width from 320 pixels upward
  • Support zoom to 200% without loss of content or functionality
  • Meet contrast ratios of at least 4.5:1 for text and 3:1 for interface elements
  • Be fully operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator throughout
  • Provide a "skip to main content" link on every page
  • Use a logical heading structure with one H1 per page
  • Use semantic landmarks for header, navigation, main content and footer
  • Provide text alternatives for all images that carry information
  • Respect the operating system's reduced-motion setting
  • Function without JavaScript

Known limitations

We list these rather than claim full conformance, because a claim that does not hold is worse than an honest gap.

We are working toward providing an accessible HTML version of every document. Where one is not yet available, we will provide the content in an alternative format on request, at no cost and without needing to explain why you need it.

Maintenance and issue handling

This static archive does not include a feedback form or contact channel. Accessibility issues identified during testing should be recorded and corrected as part of site maintenance.

A useful issue record includes the affected page, the blocked task, the observed result, and the browser, device, or assistive technology used during testing.
